Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day set aside to honor those who have given their lives defending our country. I think most Americans have at least one person in their family who bravely served, or is now serving.

Memorial Day has also become the unofficial start of summer.

It is interesting that we find a way to balance such a somber holiday with a weekend of fun and frivolity.

It is also exactly the way it should be on Memorial Day, and in life.

Life is filled with difficulty and loss. Life is also filled with joy and pleasure.

There is no better way to honor those who have made sacrifices for us than by enjoying our lives to the fullest.

Goals

We are never too young or too old to set and achieve goals. The important thing is that we are always growing, always stretching, always learning and always looking toward the future.

Our goals can include developing new skills, moving forward in career and growing and healing on a personal level. Our goals can nurture body, mind and spirit.

It is important that our goals be specific, achievable and measurable. We need to be able to visualize our goals in order to realize our goals.

The more we understand our own power to shape our destiny and create our future, the more successful we will be at reaching our goals.

When we look to the past, we need to celebrate what we have already achieved. When we look at the present we need to be clear about our path towards success. When we look to the future we need to see our ability to manifest our desires and our destiny.

Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day has become a time when we honor all the women in our lives. It is a time to remember our mothers in spirit, our grandmothers, aunts, and all the important women we know.

It is also a time to connect with our Earth Mother – to spend some time in the sun, enjoying the springtime.

However you spend Mother’s Day, enjoy the many blessings that are yours, and take the time to nurture yourself and to nurture the special women in your life.
